Terms of Use

These terms explain how CollegeDreams may be used. By registering a school, logging in, or using the parent portal or mobile app, you agree to them. We have kept them short and in plain English.

1. Who we are

CollegeDreams is a school management platform provided by Modernware Solution Ltd (MWare), a company registered in Nigeria, RC 1785908 (“we”, “us”). In these terms, “school” means the school that registers on CollegeDreams, and “you” means anyone using it: school owners, staff, parents, guardians and students.

2. Your account

• Keep your login details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell the school or us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
• The school decides which staff can access which parts of its portal and must remove access when a staff member leaves.

3. The school’s responsibilities

• Make sure the information it enters (students, scores, fees, staff) is accurate and that it has the right to share it with us.
• Check results before publishing them. CollegeDreams computes results from the scores the school enters.
• Tell parents how the school uses CollegeDreams and how their child’s information is handled.

4. Pricing and payments

• From 1 January 2027 the school pays no licence, setup, training or migration fee.
• Parents pay a termly token for portal access, as shown on our pricing page. A school may choose to pay the token for its parents instead, in which case it is invoiced once per term.
• The token is paid online by transfer to a virtual account. Either the parent or the school can start the payment.
• Until the token for a student is paid, that student’s result is blocked: it cannot be viewed online or collected as a printed copy. The student’s records are kept safe in the meantime.
• Schools with 50 active students or fewer do not pay the token. When a school passes 50 active students, standard pricing applies from the following term, and we will tell the school first.
• We will give schools notice before changing any price.

5. Online school fee payments

• Online fee payment is optional. Parents can always pay the school in the usual way.
• When a parent pays school fees in the app, the money settles to the school’s own bank account. We do not hold school fees.
• A flat ₦200 bank processing fee applies to each fee payment made in the app.
• Questions about the amount a school charges, discounts or refunds of school fees are between the parent and the school.

6. LINA e-learning

LINA is an optional subscription, billed monthly per learner. Parents choose whether to subscribe. It is separate from the termly token and is never required to use CollegeDreams.

7. Your data

• The school owns its data. We store and process it only to provide CollegeDreams to the school.
• We keep each school’s data separate and private, and only people the school authorises can see it.
• We do not sell personal information.
• We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. See our Privacy Policy for details.
• If a school leaves, it can ask us for a copy of its data.

8. Acceptable use

Do not:

• try to access another school’s data or another person’s account;
• alter, forge or misuse results, report sheets or payment records;
• upload anything unlawful, harmful or offensive;
• try to disrupt, copy or reverse-engineer the platform.

9. Availability and support

We work hard to keep CollegeDreams running and your data backed up, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or problems outside our control. Our support team is available on 08057271994 and [email protected].

10. Our software

CollegeDreams, its design and its software belong to Modernware Solution Ltd. Using it does not transfer any ownership to you.

11. Suspending or ending access

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk. A school may stop using CollegeDreams at any time by telling us.

12. Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by incorrect information entered by users, or by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian law that cannot be excluded.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and tell schools about important changes.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
